IJAS Online is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, with back issues archived by JSTOR. The current editors are Tim Groenland and Fionnghuala Sweeney. The reviews editor is Keira Williams.

IJAS Online is the journal of the Irish Association for American Studies, an all-island scholarly association dedicated to helping scholars in Ireland and Northern Ireland pursue American Studies across a number of levels and platforms. More information about the IAAS, including its annual conference and its bursary schemes for postgraduate and upcoming scholars, can be found here.

The editors welcome article submissions on all aspects and periods of American history, literature, film, politics, sociology, archaeology, law, anthropology, music, drama and art. We also welcome articles in these disciplines in hemispheric American and transatlantic studies. We do not publish original creative work.

For our reviews section, we welcome book, theatre, film and exhibition reviews, short opinion pieces and interviews.

We will consider proposals for roundtables on publications, anniversaries, exhibitions or other events of major significance to American, transatlantic or hemispheric studies, including Latin American studies, Caribbean studies and Canadian studies.  Guidelines for submissions are available here.

We also accept proposals for special issues. Guidelines on how to submit a proposal are available here.

All articles, opinion pieces, reviews, interviews and proposals should be addressed to the editors and sent via email to: irishjournalofamericanstudies@gmail.com. The decisions of the editors on publication are final.
